Shift Into Your New Role as a Shop Trainer/Dispatcher:

Kenwood Dealer Group has a need for a combined role of Apprentice Trainer/Mentor. Applicant will mentor and train our Apprentice Technicians as well as Dispatch work to the shop.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Hand out work to apprentices. Make sure all repairs are given out to achieve maximum productivity. Read each line to make sure recalls are due and all parts are here before dispatching RO.

• Maximize throughput by ensuring jobs are not dispatched to tech that already have work waiting for completion.

• Check with Techs daily on workload and get ETA’s that are then relayed to the service advisor.

• Check with Parts on special order parts daily.

• Communicate with Advisors regarding status of work that is still waiting dispatch or expected jobs that will not be completed.

• Manages and teaches apprentice program.

• Checks progress of each repair order throughout the day.

• Monitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety and the condition of shop equipment. Reports problems to the service manager or dealer.

• Strives for harmony and teamwork within the reconditioning center

• Maintains safe work environment.

• Maintains professional appearance.

• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications to Drive Your Career Forward:

• 7+ years of current experience as a Service Technician or Foreman; certifications required - master status and multiple manufacturer experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license: driving record satisfactory to company

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily

• High school grad/GED

• Satisfactory employment references

• Pass background check
